Huhh-huhh-huhh! Väga vabandan kõigi-sõprade-inimeste ees keda olen unarusse jätnud viimastel nädalatel, kuid käsil oli mitu nii megasuurt projekti, et põhimõtteliselt magasin-närvitsesin-töötasin nonstop. Üks nendest sai eile kauni finaali Tallinn Fashion Weekil ehk siis Xenia Joost REBELLIONAIRES publiku lemmik! Hõissa-hurra.

Mic drop. Kalli.

My oh my I am so sorry that I haven’t been in touch with so many friends and colleagues for the past few weeks, I just had some accidental awesome shit to do & it ate me alive. One of the projects is now launched and it’s REBELLIONAIRES by Xenia Joost, also won the Audience Favorite award at the Tallinn Fashion Week 2017 last night! Woop! Anyways for the starters, I was very happy to have designed illustrations and fabric patterns for this collection, but as lovely Xenia had some accidental important unfinished business in Vietnam, I took on the helping out part with creative directing and styling the collection video & show itself. it’s not an easy job I’ll tell ya, but the realization of how good everything turned out is slowly kicking in :)

REBELLIONAIRES, as you can see, is a youthful, cozy, soft, warm, unisex, unisize brand. Lovers of black colors will find their stuff and the pink gang too. I’d tell you more about everything, but as my firm Hmmm is nominated for 10 design awards that take place tonight, I have to go and stress somewhere else. Mic drop. Hugs.

Minu sõber keda uhkusega saangi sõbraks nimetada ja tegelikult isegi kolleeg, sest meil mõlemil on omad EKA kursused käsil, Liisi Eesmaa, on saanud hakkana järjekordse tudengite partii juhendamisega moekunsti vallas ja kohe-kohe näemegi eksperimentaalnäitust “PULSS”.

Materjal mida loominguks kasutati on sõna otseses mõttes PUNANE VAIP.

Liisi Eesmaa who I’m proud to call a friend and actually a colleague as we both host our courses at the Estonian Academy of Arts is happy to present her students experimental show “PULSS”.

The material the students had to use to create these and many more other looks is literally RED CARPET! The exhibition shows off creations by young designers Kristin Sigus, Emma Leoni, Edvard Hiietam, Külli-Triin Laanet, Karita Kärmet, Hannes Rüütel, Kreet Kärner, Nele Kurvits, Beatrice Randkivi, Lotte Raisch & Andreas Kübar.

Come and see it with your own eyes in the tunnel of KUMU museum, here’s a facebook event for you.

“PULSS” KUMU tunnel, 20 May – 20 June 2017

I’m yearning for obscurity, yearning to get away from pastels (which I still love very much), yearning to break the current mermaid fashion stereotype, yearning for bold colours, strong angles,
contrasts and shapes.

That’s how I noticed Ukraine-Moscow based Dmitriy Kuteiko, I really needed a sip of slavic feminine kitsch in my life, and there he was. Walking on a borderline between school fashion show and slavic feminine killer sensuality,
hyperhot and hypersilly. Felt like sharing it with you.

Ps. Unfortunately once I visited the homepage I saw no brand design or web design whatsoever, all the creativity has gone into the clothes and the graphic designer have never got to work on this brand. But maybe once the fashion is out there the other stuff will pull itself up too :) But his instagram game is strong: @kuteiko_couture
