As you can see from this pink-flamingo-infused-kimono photograph, I and Tanel are slowly starting to look like an old married couple, 4 years of teaching design MA students accessories course makes us married indeed but to the Estonian Academy of Arts. Our students build a Scandinavian, sellable, target group oriented product & package from idea to the reality and present it with a badass exhibition each spring. This year the sale-exhibit takes place in Tali design shop at Kotzebue 33 Tallinn & it’s called HAND ATLAS. The name has its roots within the hands that are holding the works at the exhibition, each work held by a ceramic replica of its designer’s actual hands. The hands are made by one of our amazingly talented students Sigrid Maria Luitsalu. I’d also like to give an applause to our student Hansel Tai for creating such awesome graphic design materials. And last but not least, the lady of the Tali house, Triinu Tiisel has been truly inspirational and welcoming for the second year in a row already. Taking in new designers, making space to sell Estonian design and trusting new talent, it’s a big deal for all of us & many known designers has started off in Tali.

The show is opened until June 9, raise your butts and enjoy the designs (buy some too).

PS. There’s much more to see at the exhibition as I only managed to take photos of half of the projects.

I’m a big big fan of both Melissa (esipecially Vivienne Westwood designs) and Love Moschino, so when they arrived at the NEWMOOD I was like. Yes. When I saw the Mickey option I was like. Yes yes yes.
It was super hard to choose the tone tho, but I felt that nude was too much of my skin color, so I went with blue. With Moschino I really thought it thru and even measured my camera, the point was to get a tiny bag that can fit in my photo device + phone + moneybag = it worked. I really liked the pink color too, but yellow felt very this summer & in combination with blue shoes it’s like a sun and the clear sky emoji! Pink & blue would be too obvious as a combo.

NEWMOOD gave me a discount coupon too, it’s “helenenewmoodee“, it gives 15% discount & is valid until the end of May. Feel free to use it and if it doesn’t work do let the NEWMOOD help desk know, we have a clear deal that it should be valid for my readers :)

Shoes: Melissa from NEWMOOD; Bag: LOVE MOSCHINO from NEWMOOD; Socks: HAPPY SOCKS

Igastahes. Pole hullult ammu jaganud oma hulle leide ja just hetkel sekund tagasi leidsin naiste käekoti mis on retro Polly Pocketi kujuline. Ohissand seda nostalgilist südamepõksumist. Kohe hakkan uurima, et kust ja kuidas. Ainus link on hetkel siin, mingi veider pood nimega TruffleShuffle.
Before Polly Pocket creators decided not to make teeny tiny Pollies because they were afraid of kids choking on them, it was the coolest toy in the world. An entire universe in your pocket, entire castle or a forest. I feel a thousand percent more nostalgic about Polly Pocket than about Barbies for instance. Maybe it’s because me and my sister only had 1 for two. Also I haven’t posted my crazy finds in a while and here it is. A Polly Pocket bag for grownups found in some (unknown to me) store called TruffleShuffle, must check out as I type, what are this and how to get it. Weee!
